Each Bundy Classic Decoy is blocked out from the log, so you can see the beautiful natural grain of the White Cedar wood. We then carve off everything that is not a duck and match the wood grain on the head and the body together. After many steps of sanding and polishing, it is finally ready for the art room. Bundy Classic Decoys are finished using our own secret combination of multicolored stains. The final finish is high gloss lacquer. Each carving has made its way from a section of log, through 28 different steps of handcrafting and is now the perfect accent for your home.

Our decoys have a magic about them that says quality. The beautiful grain, the combination of colors and finish flowing through the body shape of the decoy, has become an art form of its own. Bundy Decoys are at home in both traditional and contemporary interiors.

When a Bundy Duck is hatched, we try to select the most interesting section of the wood so that the grain and colors will enhance its individuality. Likewise, the paints and lacquers respond to the grain and carved surface in their own special way. So, just like every tree from which it was carved, each Bundy Duck is unique and has its own personality. Therefore, the Bundy Ducks you see on this website are repersentative pieces: the shape and size of the piece you purchase WILL be the same as the photo, however the grain pattern and colors WILL be different than the photo.
